Instructive and fun, Mequon Nature Preserve’s staff members and volunteers will work with students of all ages to further their understanding of and appreciation for the natural world!

Do not register for a field trip unless you have talked with Juliana. This ensures your requested date is available!

We offer after school field trips for scout troops. These trips are offered Monday-Friday with a start time of 4:00pm or 4:30pm. Email Juliana to learn more!
When: Field trips are conducted between 10AM and 1PM Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Special after-school accommodations can be made with clubs or Scout troops; with a start time no later than 4:30pm.
The Experience: Every visit will include a nature hike through prairie, wetland, and woodland habitats. Many of MNP’s trails are ADA compliant. We recommend a 7:1 student to chaperone ratio for all trips.
Weather: Be prepared to get outside! Unless the weather is absolutely terrible, we will be getting outside for a 2 mile hike, so be dressed appropriately! MNP does have some winter clothing and boots for borrow for those students who forget.
Field trips are free of charge for all schools. Donations toward programming are appreciated, but never expected.
Our Bus Scholarship Program is reserved for schools in need of roundtrip bus transportation fees within the Milwaukee Public School system’s boundaries.
Schools are responsible for scheduling the bus from a local bus company. The bus company then bills Mequon Nature Preserve. Direct any questions to Juliana.
