FIELD TRIPS

Instructive and fun, Mequon Nature Preserve’s staff members and volunteers will work with students of all ages to further their understanding of and appreciation for the natural world!

Every program will include an outdoor component. If time is available, the field trip will include a nature hike through MNP’s prairie, wetland and woodland habitats.

Most lessons can be modified to suit your students’ abilities, ages, special needs or time constraints. (Many of MNP’s trails are ADA compliant.)

There is no general fee for programs at MNP during the 2016-2017 school year, but some programs will require fees to cover the cost of disposable supplies.

Most school visits are planned for 3-4 hours. Students are welcome to eat lunch in or outside the education building.

Scholarships may be available to defray transportation and other costs. Many funds are designated specifically for schools within the Milwaukee Public School system boundaries.
