Offsite Restoration Effort

As our mission statement explains, the Mequon Nature Preserve wants to be “a guiding example of restoration”.  In our effort to achieve this goal, we have decided to partner with the U.S. Green Building Council and offer offsite restoration to any and all LEED participants.

For those who are not familiar with the LEED process, the acronym stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.  This is the process of making the built environment more environmentally conscious and friendly.  As part of the LEED process, the USGBC offers credit to corporations that will protect and restore land.  We here at the Preserve have recognized the similarity of our missions and are allowing the leasing of our land to groups interested in pursuing offsite restoration credit.

The Mequon Nature Preserve is happy to present this offer and we would like to ensure that we will maintain the integrity and goal of not only the USGBC, but also any corporations or groups to which we may be affiliated.
