Hunting 2010
Dear Bowhunters:
The Mequon Nature Preserve will allow a limited number of bowhunters for the 2010 season.
Applications are due on August 1.
Hunter must obtain, complete, and return with application fee to the Preserve manager prior to lottery date:
o Lottery Application and Permit.
o Dashboard Placard
You can obtain the permit and read the revised Bowhunting policy for the 2010 season by clicking on the link below:
Preserve manager will conduct lottery and assign the appropriate permits to hunters. Preserve manager will inform hunter of lottery success via phone or email, on or about, August 7.
Preserve manager will authorize Application and Permit and make available for hunter to retrieve from MNP office. Hunter is responsible for using Application and Permit to secure Weapons Discharge Permit from Mequon Police Department.
Hunter is responsible for retrieving a dashboard placard from Preserve manager. Placard is required to be placed on the vehicle dashboard while the hunter is in the field.
Hunters must comply with all local, state, federal laws and ordinances governing hunting activities, including obtaining all required government licenses or permits. Hunters must obtain the appropriate State of Wisconsin hunting license for bowhunting and obtain a Weapons Discharge Permit from the Mequon Police Department.
Reminders: Hunter must report harvest information (animal sex and WI registration tag number) to Preserve manager, within 7 days.
We will provide additional information about deer donation, as it becomes available.
